A big thanks to all our recent donors!
The Progress Inevitable Foundation, directed by an accomplished team of board members and managed by an enthusiastic team of staff and volunteers, is committed to helping low-income inner-city children and adults, particularly those affected by dyslexia and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), obtain quality educational support services.
The foundation collaborates with educational institutions that apply a “Full Circle Learning” approach – which means parents, teachers, principals, students, and tutors collaborate constantly regarding each student’s academic needs and progress.
Research has shown that:
· 85% of juvenile offenders have problems reading.
· Children who have difficulty reading experience very low self-esteem and as a result make poor life choices.
· 3 out of 5 people in prison cannot read.
· Drug use and dropout rates have a strong correlation. Roughly 31% of high-school dropouts use illicit substances, while just about 18% of those in school engage in this behavior.
· A high school diploma recipient earns an average of $8,400 a year more than a high school dropout. If you work until the age of 65, that will amount to $394,800.
The positive societal impacts of inner-city communities receiving a quality education is what continues to inspire the growth and development of the Progress Inevitable Foundation.
